International Canlon | Canlon TPO/PVC waterproof membrane has received product rating approval from the Cool Roofing Rating Council (CRRC) in the United States

Recently, Canlon has added another internationally authoritative certification – its TPO/PVC waterproof membrane has successfully passed the product rating accreditation of the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) after three years of outdoor testing, making it one of the few domestic companies to hold certifications for both polymer waterproof materials. This also signifies that Canlon's roofing waterproofing products have reached internationally advanced levels in terms of thermal radiation efficiency and green energy-saving performance, opening new channels for expanding into the global green building market.

As a core non-profit organization in the global cooling roofing industry, the US CRRC is renowned for its rigorous and scientific rating system for roofing product radiation energy efficiency, and its certification standards are widely recognized in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. This certification is not simply a performance test, but rather a dual-track approach of "product thermal radiation performance assessment + continuous quality monitoring" to precisely calculate core indicators of roofing products, such as solar reflectivity (SR) and thermal emissivity (ER). Solar reflectivity directly determines the roof's ability to absorb solar heat, while thermal emissivity affects the roof's heat dissipation efficiency. These two indicators together determine the building's energy consumption level, significantly reducing air conditioning costs and the building's carbon footprint, especially in high-temperature regions.

As early as 2018, Canlon established a dedicated team to research cool roofing technology. Its certified products not only passed the CRRC performance evaluation but also simultaneously met the energy-saving requirements of the US LEED green building certification and the EU CE certification. For example, in terms of solar reflectivity, CRRC certification data can be directly used as the scoring basis for the "Energy Efficiency Optimization" sub-item in LEED certification, helping building projects obtain green building ratings more efficiently.
