Excellent Canlon | The Drafting Group of " Technical Specifications for Application of Thermoplastic Polyolefin Composite Metal Sheets " Was Established And The First Meeting Was Held in Suzhou

On the morning of October 29, 2024, the drafting group of the building materials industry standard "Technical Specifications for the Application of Thermoplastic Polyolefin Composite Metal Plates" (hereinafter referred to as the "Standard"), which is managed by the Comprehensive Standardization Technical Committee of the Building Materials Industry and drafted by China Building Materials Suzhou Waterproof Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Canlon Building Materials Co. , Ltd., was established and the first meeting was held in Suzhou.

Professor Shen Chunlin, Executive Director of China National Building Materials Suzhou Waterproof Research Institute, Senior Engineer Wang Yufeng, Assistant General Manager, Dr. Wang Xiaoli, Deputy Director of the First Research Institute, Senior Engineer Dong Zhou, Senior Engineer Liu Nailin, Head of the Standard Technology Department, Wang Yazhou, general manager of Jiangsu Canlon Building Materials Co., Ltd. Roofing System Technology Center, Shan Yongsheng, Canlon’s R&D director, Chen Bin, Canlon’s deputy chief engineer, and 34 representatives from 16 units including CTC Suzhou Company attended the meeting.

Representatives at the meeting exchanged and discussed the production, market and application of thermoplastic polyolefin composite metal plate products. Subsequently, the representatives at the meeting focused on in-depth discussions on the draft of the "Standards" and put forward many constructive suggestions. A "Standards" compilation group was also established at the meeting, and arrangements were made for the division of labor among the members of the compilation group and the "Standards" compilation plan.

At the end of the meeting, Wang Yazhou, general manager of Jiangsu Canlon Building Materials Co., Ltd. Roofing System Technology Center, gave a summary of the meeting. He hoped that with the joint efforts of the drafting team members and the participating representatives, they could continue to promote the high-quality completion of the "Standard". He also hoped that more companies could participate and work together to contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
