The review process for the 2025 "Science and Technology Award for Building Waterproofing Industry - Engineering Technology Award (Jinyu Award - Waterproofing Engineering)" and "Science and Technology Award for Building Waterproofing Industry - Technological Progress Award" has been completed and is now open for public comment.
Among them, Canlon won a silver award for engineering technology with its "Jinji Lake Tunnel Main Waterproofing Project" case, once again powerfully demonstrating the excellent quality of the integrated waterproofing system.
The Jinji Lake Tunnel project is 6.04 kilometers long, with a main line of about 5.4 kilometers and a total investment of about 6.02 billion yuan. Canlon's MBP polymer self-adhesive membrane pre-applied waterproof membrane was selected to build the waterproof system for the tunnel through the lake . It is the first ultra-long open-cut tunnel in China that crosses a 5A-level lake scenic area .
Jinji Lake has an average depth of about 1.8 meters and has deep ditches running north-south, reaching a maximum depth of 5 meters. The lakebed has complex geology, and the areas on the east and west sides of the lake are both core business districts of Suzhou. It is comparable to "operating on the heart of Suzhou", which also poses a great challenge to the quality of the waterproofing project.
As one of the most representative tunnel waterproofing projects completed by Canlon, the opening of Jinji Lake Tunnel will greatly alleviate and divert traffic flow on Modern Avenue, Jinji Lake Avenue and Dushu Lake Avenue. It is of great significance for improving the infrastructure construction of Suzhou's Jinji Lake Financial and Trade Zone and accelerating its integration with the secondary business center of the Yangtze River Delta.
