On December 18, 2025, the Hainan Free Trade Port will officially launch the island-wide customs closure, marking a landmark step in China's opening up to the outside world.
The construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port is a major reform and opening-up initiative personally planned, deployed, and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The official launch of the island-wide customs closure marks a crucial leap for the Hainan Free Trade Port towards its highest level of openness. Located within the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Hainan Haikong Comprehensive Bonded Logistics Park is committed to providing comprehensive integrated supply chain solutions for import and export enterprises, related financial institutions, government agencies, and other clients in the Hainan Free Trade Port. It aims to become a leading enterprise in the Hainan Free Trade Port's supply chain service platform. The project's roof utilizes the Canlon TPO mechanical fixing system, giving the old concrete roof a fresh new look. Rooftop photovoltaic installations were also implemented, transforming it into a green and low-carbon roof system integrating waterproofing, corrosion resistance, wind resistance, and heat insulation.
The closure of the border is not a real closure, but a further expansion of opening up, marking the beginning of a new stage for the Hainan Free Trade Port. On that day, the scope of "zero-tariff" goods was expanded to more than 6,600 tariff items, and the policy dividends have stimulated new vitality in the industry.
