On September 13, the executive meeting of the State Council approved the nuclear power projects of Zhangzhou Phase II in Fujian and Lianjiang Phase I in Guangdong, requiring further enhancement of energy security capabilities and promotion of green development to ensure the safety of construction and operation. As the economy continues to recover, electricity consumption is rising rapidly, and electricity demand is gradually increasing. Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Liaoning and other places have included nuclear power in their local economic development plans and listed them as one of the priorities in 2022. Previously, at the State Council executive meeting on April 20 this year, three new nuclear power unit projects had been approved, namely Sanmen Nuclear Power Phase II, Haiyang Nuclear Power Phase II, and Lufeng Nuclear Power Units 5 and 6. Up to now, China has 53 nuclear power units in commercial operation and 23 nuclear power units under construction, with a total installed capacity of 24.19 million kilowatts, ranking first in the world in terms of the installed capacity of units under construction.

According to the statistics of "Annual Development and Prospect of Nuclear Energy in China (2020)", it is estimated that by 2025, my country's nuclear power installed capacity in operation will reach 70 million kilowatts, and the installed nuclear power capacity under construction will reach about 30 million kilowatts.Based on this, it is predicted that the market space of the nuclear power industry is expected to exceed 300 billion yuan in 2025.
