Siphon Drainage Classic Case - Inner Mongolia Shangbang Academy
"Have you not seen the Yellow River's waters descend from heaven?" The mighty Yellow River, as depicted in the poem, was once a muddy, half-bowled river of water and half-bowled sand. But as it flows through Ordos, it transforms into a clear, mirror-like stream. Today, we're introducing a project located in Zhungeer Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The Shangbang Academy project, a key construction project of Junggar Banner in 2025, is located at the intersection of Beiyuan East Road and Beiyuan Street, next to Junggar Middle School.
As the saying goes, "North and south of the Yellow River, Jungar is the most beautiful." With its geological environment blending grassland and desert, Jungar Banner places great importance on the comprehensive function of grasslands in protecting against wind and consolidating soil, as well as conserving water resources. Consequently, high-end residential projects also place particular emphasis on greening and water storage. The Shangbang Academy project selected the Canlon SDR planted roof siphon drainage system, covering approximately 15,000 square meters. The system features 12 breathable observation tubes and five siphon drainage outlets, allowing infiltrated water to be directly connected to the municipal stormwater drainage network.
The project will start construction in early 2025 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026. To meet the project schedule requirements, the company has concentrated its efforts to strengthen construction progress control, while ensuring the quality of project construction and ensuring safety management. Canlon's SDR siphon drainage collection system aims to solve the problem of drainage difficulties in planted roofs in a more efficient, environmentally friendly and economical way through technological integration and innovation, which perfectly fits the current development trend of green buildings and sponge cities.
Canlon's SDR siphon drainage system is deeply integrated with the concept of sponge city construction. It can be cleverly integrated with sunken green spaces, rainwater gardens, dry creeks, grass-planted ditches, permeable pavements, etc. It can not only become a part of the community landscape, but also a "sponge body" of "natural accumulation, natural infiltration, and natural purification". Through "infiltration, retention, storage, purification, use, and drainage", rainwater can be naturally infiltrated, purified layer by layer, and the water quality is improved; while realizing rainwater regulation and peak shifting to reduce the formation of urban waterlogging, rainwater can also be reused for greening and watering flowers.
Focusing on ecological human settlements and serving the people's well-being, Canlon's SDR sponge city siphon drainage collection system has helped the green development of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, and created another classic case in Canlon's diversified business areas.
