MBP-P Polymer Self-adhesive Pre-applied Waterproofing Membrane (hereinafter referred to as "MBP-P Pre-applied Waterproofing Membrane") is composed of polymer sheet, polymer self-adhesive film and artificial granule protection layer. The membrane can firmly bond on the post-poured concrete to eliminate water migration. Even the weak point of the membrane appeared, the water will be locked at the certain point, neither easy to leakage nor has the chance to flowing between the waterproofing layer and post-poured concrete. For those structure cracks the leakage will not happen just as if the waterproofing membrane in good condition. In other words, the flexible waterproof layer will work together with rigid post-poured waterproof concrete.

Among the 1777 basements randomly surveyed in 28 cities, 57.5% (1022) had obvious leakage. In contrast, from the current construction project using MBP-P Pre-applied Waterproofing Membrane, no obvious leakage was found in the corresponding part, and the slight local water leakage rate was also less than 1%.
Because of the reliable bonding between the pre-applied membrane and post-poured concrete, contractors can skip fine aggregate concrete layer and additional layer. The pre-applied system has low requirement to the substrate so they can also cancel the screed. Traditional below-grade waterproofing requires two layers of bitumen membrane to reach top level waterproof, while MBP-P Pre-applied Waterproofing Membrane only need one layer. These advantages can greatly save the cost and construction period.
