RC-260 Water-based Acrylic Waterproofing Coating
DESCRIPTION
RC260 is a high-performance one-component water-based acrylic waterproofing coating, formulated with premium acrylic copolymer emulsion, high-purity fillers (barium sulfate, calcium carbonate), titanium dioxide, and multifunctional additives. It forms a seamless, elastic, and weather-resistant waterproof film with excellent UV resistance, adhesion, and light reflection. As an eco-friendly water-based product, it complies with international environmental standards and is ideal for exterior waterproofing applications requiring low VOC and safe construction.
USES
Exterior walls, roofs, and balconies of industrial & civil buildings. Color steel roof waterproofing and renovation. Concrete structures, masonry surfaces, and metal substrates. Waterproofing for terraces, canopies, and outdoor structures.
FEATURES
Low VOC, non-toxic, no harmful fumes.
Excellent UV stability and heat resistance (90°C no change) for long-term exterior exposure.
High elongation (269%) adapts to substrate deformation and thermal expansion.
Bonds firmly to concrete, metal, and masonry without primer.
Brush, roller, or airless spray; no open flame required, safe and efficient.
Stable performance from -30°C to 90°C, no cracking in cold.

INSTALLATION METHOD
Substrate Preparation: Ensure the substrate is flat, solid, clean, and free of dust, oil stains, rust, loose particles, and standing water. Reinforce loose fasteners, polish rusted areas, and apply a suitable primer for severely corroded color steel roofs or porous concrete surfaces.
Detail Reinforcement: Focus on critical areas such as corners, expansion joints, pipe penetrations, and overlaps. Embed reinforced polyester cloth into the wet coating to ensure full impregnation, smooth placement, and no wrinkles, enhancing waterproof reliability at weak points.
Coating Application: Stir the coating thoroughly before use (do not add water). Apply 2–3 thin coats, each approximately 0.5mm thick. Allow the previous coat to fully dry (12–24 hours, depending on temperature/humidity) before applying the next. Apply each coat perpendicularly to the previous one for uniform coverage and no missed areas.
Construction Precautions: Do not construct in rainy, snowy, or windy (Level 5+) conditions. Avoid applying thick coats at once to prevent cracking or slow curing. Seal the drum tightly after opening to prevent contamination or drying.
Quality Inspection: After full curing, check the finished film for uniform color, no sand holes, gaps, peeling, or lumps. Ensure seamless coverage and firm adhesion to the substrate.
Protection: Do not walk on or damage the waterproof layer during curing. Protect the surface from sharp impact, heavy traffic, and construction debris until subsequent works are completed.
