Canlon CCCW Cement-based Penetrating Crystalline Waterproof Coating is a powdery, rigid waterproof material composed of specialized cement, quartz sand, and other components. It contains a blend of active chemical substances that, when mixed with water, form a slurry. This slurry is applied to the surface of cement concrete structures. Upon curing, the coating reacts with the concrete to form a chemical layer on its surface. The active substances in the coating penetrate the concrete via the water carrier, where they interact with the concrete’s silicate to catalyze the formation of non-corrosive crystals. These crystals fill and seal capillary pores and microcracks, significantly enhancing the density of the concrete and improving its anti-seepage and waterproofing capabilities.

1、Product Introduction:

Canlon CCCW Cement-based Penetrating Crystalline Waterproof Coating is a powdery, rigid waterproof material composed of specialized cement, quartz sand, and other components. It contains a blend of active chemical substances that, when mixed with water, form a slurry. This slurry is applied to the surface of cement concrete structures. Upon curing, the coating reacts with the concrete to form a chemical layer on its surface. The active substances in the coating penetrate the concrete via the water carrier, where they interact with the concrete’s silicate to catalyze the formation of non-corrosive crystals. 4. Scope of Application
This product is designed for permanent waterproofing and anti-seepage of cement-based concrete structures, including basements, tunnels, sewage treatment tanks, drinking water reservoirs, sewers, elevator shafts, swimming pools, chemical plants, and more.

5. Product Features

· Exceptional Penetration: Capable of penetrating more than 5 cm into the concrete surface.

· Superior Waterproofing: Provides long-lasting resistance to water head pressures of up to 30 meters.

· Secondary Waterproofing: Even after the coating is damaged, it can crystallize again to restore its waterproof properties.

· Chemical Resistance: Enhances the durability of concrete by protecting it against chemical erosion.

· Eco-Friendly: Non-toxic, harmless, and safe for use in drinking water projects, meeting environmental standards.

6. Application Methods
There are two recommended application methods: brushing and dry powder spreading.

6.1. Brushing Method

· 6.1.1. Surface Preparation: Remove any floating slurry, alkali, dust, oil, or other debris from the substrate surface. Roughen the surface to ensure the capillary system is fully exposed, allowing better penetration. Rinse thoroughly with a high-pressure water jet.

· 6.1.2. Wetting the Surface: Moisten the base surface thoroughly, keeping it damp without visible standing water.

· 6.1.3. Mixing: Mix the product in a ratio of powder to water = 1: (0.35–0.4) by weight. First, add water to the container, then add the powder and stir quickly to achieve a smooth, uniform slurry. Use the mixture within 20 minutes; do not add water once mixed.

· 6.1.4. Application: Apply the coating using a hard-bristled brush, spreading it evenly in multiple layers. Allow the surface to dry and turn white before applying subsequent layers. If more than 12 hours pass between coats, lightly spray with water before applying the next layer.

6.2. Dry Powder Spreading Method
Spread the dry powder evenly over the fresh concrete surface at a rate of 1.5 kg/m². Immediately press the powder into the concrete using a wooden trowel or polisher, followed by a calendaring process to ensure even distribution.

6.3. Coating Maintenance
Maintain the coating for at least 72 hours, using methods such as water spraying or covering with wet cloths. For optimal results, maintain for up to 7 days.

7. Transportation and Storage
Store and transport the product separately from other types, and avoid mixing with incompatible materials. Protect from direct sunlight, rain, and moisture. Under standard storage and transportation conditions, the shelf life is 12 months.

8. Precautions

· Do not apply the product in rain or when the ambient temperature is below 5°C.

· Avoid direct sunlight during outdoor application, particularly on hot days. It is advisable to apply the product in the morning or evening to prevent rapid drying.

· Protect the coating from rain for 24 hours post-application and from frost, direct sunlight, sewage, or temperatures below 5°C for 48 hours.

· The concrete surface should be clean, firm, and thoroughly moistened to promote effective penetration.

· Once mixed, do not add water or materials. If the mixture becomes thick, stir it frequently. If it stands for over 5 minutes, stir again to ensure uniform consistency and avoid sand separation.

· During application, use a cross-brushing technique to ensure an even thickness. Keep the surface moist but without visible water for 3 days after application to facilitate curing and ensure optimal performance.
