  • Canlon is a functional building materials manufacturer integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales, and construction services of waterproofing materials. Established in 2011 and listed on the A-share market in 2017, the company has been deeply involved in the field of polymer new materials for many years. Closely following the development needs of key industries during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, it provides diversified and customized system solutions for the roofing needs of various industrial and commercial buildings.
  • PVDF (Polyvinyl fluoride) is an important member of the fluoroplastics family. On the one hand, PVDF possesses typical characteristics of fluoroplastics, such as excellent UV aging resistance, stain resistance, corrosion resistance, and flame retardancy. It also exhibits particularly good resistance to strong acids and oxidation, and can withstand 98% concentrated sulfuric acid at room temperature. On the other hand, PVDF also possesses crystal diversity, electroactivity, and excellent electrochemical stability. It is the second largest fluoroplastic by production volume, making it a truly outstanding product.
  • In the development history of building waterproofing materials, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) membranes have undergone a technical transformation from "widely questioned" to "mature and reliable." The embrittlement and cracking issues caused by plasticizer migration in early products once cast a shadow over this material. However, after decades of formulation optimization and technological iteration, modern PVC membranes have become an indispensable choice in underground engineering, tunnel and bridge projects, and roofing waterproofing, thanks to their cost-effectiveness and full-scenario applicability. This article traces the evolutionary path of PVC membranes, analyzes the technical logic behind their green upgrade, and highlights the innovative practices of industry benchmark enterprises.
  • In waterproofing applications such as roofs, basements, and municipal engineering projects, polymer waterproof membranes are undoubtedly the mainstream choice today, with TPO and PVC being the two core materials. However, many homeowners, renovation professionals, and even newcomers to the industry easily confuse the two – both are polymer membranes, both can be hot-air welded, and both are high-performance roofing materials, but their actual materials, lifespans, and applicable scenarios are quite different!
Today, Canlon will use simple, popular science language to clarify the essential differences between the two types of roll-on sheets, and provide practical selection advice for different usage scenarios.
  • Beijing Zhongrong Hengtai Technology Development Co., Ltd., founded in 2014 and headquartered in Beijing, the capital of China, is a large-scale professional international enterprise integrating research and development, production, sales and construction, specializing in architectural decorative coatings, fireproof coatings and special coatings.
To improve integrated building safety solutions and expand into the specialty new materials market, Canlon and Zhongrong Hengtai have formed a deep strategic partnership, jointly establishing Jiangsu Canlon Specialty Materials Co., Ltd. Canlon holds a 51% controlling stake in the company, leveraging their complementary strengths to achieve comprehensive resource sharing across channels, technology, production capacity, and brand.
  • The siphon phenomenon is a natural phenomenon in fluid mechanics. It utilizes the weight and pressure difference of the liquid itself to easily draw the liquid from a high place to a low place without the aid of an external pump.
Canlon's siphon roof drainage system relies on Bernoulli's fluid dynamics equations and is equipped with self-developed hydraulic calculation software to accurately match pipe diameter and number of ducts, ensuring stable siphon activation during extreme rainfall and forming full pipe flow. This is different from traditional gravity semi-pipe drainage and achieves rapid drainage.
