Technological Canlon | Two Products Receive CTC Root Penetration Resistance Certification: Canlon Creates New Options for Green Roof Waterproofing

Recently, Canlon's SBS elastomeric modified bitumen waterproof membrane (root-barrier type) and MBBAC self-adhesive polymer modified bitumen waterproof membrane (root-barrier type) both passed the root penetration resistance test conducted by China Building Materials Testing & Certification Group Suzhou Co., Ltd. (CTC Suzhou), and obtained the "Root Penetration Resistance Performance Certificate" (CTCSZ2026019, CTCSZ2026020), continuously adding reliable new options to the field of green roof waterproofing.

The two products that received certification this time were tested in strict accordance with the national standard GB/T 35468-2017 "Root-penetration resistant waterproof membrane for green roofs". The test period covered two years from April 2023 to April 2025, which verified the long-term stable root-penetration resistance of the products.

It is worth mentioning that Canlon is one of the first 12 companies to pass the root penetration resistance test of waterproof coatings by CTC Suzhou Company. Previously, MPU-ZZ polyurethane waterproof coating (root penetration resistant type) was a prominent representative of polyurethane root penetration resistant products.

Furthermore, Canlon's thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) root-penetration resistant self-adhesive waterproof membrane (MBP-ZZ) has received a scientific and technological achievement evaluation certificate in the building waterproofing industry for its excellent product performance. This fully demonstrates the Canlon's comprehensive technical strength in the field of rooftop greening.
