PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & FEATURES:  

CANSHIELD^TM SBS500 is is an SBS-modified bitumen cap ply for use in approved multi-ply membrane waterproofing assemblies. CANSHIELD^TM SBS500 is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen and is reinforced with a tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat. The topside is surfaced with silver-coated polyolefin film and underside is surfaced with polyolefin burn-off film to optimize heat welding.

·SBS rubber polymer enhances the asphalt blend adding elongation, elasticity and flexibility to the sheet

·Reinforced with a non woven polyester  that increases the membrane’s strength and durability

·Silver-coated polyolefin film improves the durability when exposed to sunlight  

·Underside is surfaced with a polyolefin burn-off film to optimize heat welding

·Meets or exceeds requirements of GB 18242

USES:

·It can be applied into various kinds of waterproofing projects, especially suitable for areas with high temperature or strong ultraviolet radiation. It's a better choice for construction in summer.

APPLICATION:

·Prior to installation, unroll CANSHIELD^TM SBS500 onto the deck and allow to relax. Place CANSHIELD^TM SBS500 in desired position and back roll the product. Apply approved adhesive or primer following manufacturer specifications. CANSHIELD^TM SBS500 is then placed into the  adhesive and rolled with a weighted roller or hot welded to the substrate when using primer  to ensure adhesion.

STORAGE:

·Store rolls in an upright position to prevent damage. Store in a clean, dry location and cover as necessary to protect from environmental damage such as extreme cold, heat or moisture.
