Today, I won't talk about product technology; I'll just tell you a story about heroes.
In the Reclamation Memorial Hall located in the First Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Alar City , 359th Brigade, the following poem is engraved: "Born in Jinggang Mountain, grew up in Nanniwan, fought across tens of thousands of miles, and settled in Tianshan."
Alar is a young city, but the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps stationed there is the only glorious force that has experienced the "Three Long Marches" (the Long March of the Red Army, the southward march and the northward return, and the advance into Xinjiang).
Alar was once characterized by a harsh natural environment, a lack of production materials, and difficult living conditions. Generation after generation of the 359th Brigade carried forward the spirit of Nanniwan, took root in the frontier, fought against nature, reclaimed and defended the border, and built their homes, creating the miracle of "people advancing and sand retreating" and "man-made oasis," and building a beautiful military reclamation city on the edge of the desert.
For a long time, Alar had no railway, and the nearest major train station was Aksu Station. People had to take a 2-3 hour bus ride to Aksu to catch the train, which was not only very tiring but also psychologically and temporally uneconomical.
In 2017, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) undertook the construction of the Aksu-Alar Railway ( A-A Railway ) to support high-quality development in southern Xinjiang, making it an important component of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's planning and construction. The railway spans Aksu, Awat, and Alar, traversing the Gobi oasis and the Taklamakan Desert. It is 114 kilometers long, designed for a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and has a total investment of 3.512 billion yuan. It is a crucial link in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in the new era.
In 2020, Canlon successfully won the bid for the construction and management materials (bridge waterproofing layer materials) of the new Aksu-Alar Railway, thanks to its excellent product quality, technical service advantages and outstanding cost performance. It provides reliable waterproofing materials to safeguard the railway construction.
Why choose Canlon? Because "opening up mountains and building bridges over rivers" is commonplace in basic transportation construction. All kinds of bridge and tunnel construction cannot be separated from strong technical support. Waterproofing of bridges and tunnels affects road driving safety and is the most important part of all technical aspects. Canlon's high-speed rail waterproofing projects are not only numerous, but also stand out in terms of the "bridge-to-tunnel ratio," an indicator representing the difficulty of construction. These include high-difficulty projects such as the Sichuan-Tibet Railway and the Panzhou-Xingyi Railway, which cross towering mountains, steep terrain, and crisscrossing ravines, powerfully demonstrating the systematic quality of a leading domestic polymer company.
In 2022, the Alar-Alar Railway project opened to traffic, ending Alar's centuries-long history of being without a railway. It plays an important role in the transportation of products from cities, counties, and industrial parks along the line, and is of great significance in promoting regional economic development and improving the transportation environment. It has won the warm welcome and support of the people. Perhaps this is the most real and touching portrayal of the Chinese nation's "close relationship between the military and the people, and the unity between cadres and the masses."
The Alashankou-Alashankou Railway is not only the first railway in Xinjiang jointly constructed by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and the Xinjiang Railway Group, but its construction techniques also referenced those used for ballast track laying on railways with speeds exceeding 200 km/h. Furthermore, it was completed and accepted four months ahead of schedule. Canlon Waterproofing Co., Ltd., with its waterproofing quality and supply services adapted to China's high-speed rail and "China Speed," has won recognition for this key western development project and is a source of great pride in contributing to national infrastructure construction!
